Growing up in Denmark I didn’t have any mountains to climb. In Iceland though, you have all these beautiful “small” mountains that look like you could easily walk up. Turns out … not so easy. I decided to them to the test on my last day in Iceland. Let me tell you, one does not simply walk up these mountains. Though it wasn’t exactly difficult, the terrain was quite treacherous with loose gravel on a solid surface. Not quite the optimal footing for ascending a “small” mountain. I made it up though, and the view was definitely worth it, it always is.
